The LGBTQ Consortium has several sub-committees in which our members are involved. Read more about all of the sub-committees below:
Safe Out is a program funded by Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care and administered by TERROS, Inc. in collaboration with the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer (LGBTQ) Consortium. Safe Out aims to prevent and reduce excessive alcohol use, substance abuse, and suicide within the LGBTQ community of Maricopa County.
Q-Youth is a network of organizations prepared to support the health and empowerment of LGBTQ youth and families. Q-Youth aims to develop relationships among youth serving organizations and generate youth driven feedback on helpful resources and resource gaps. Q-Youth seeks to increase member organization awareness of LGBTQ youth support and advocacy services.
The Social Justice committee aims to further the rights and equity of the LGBTQ community and empower the community’s health and wholeness in a way that honors the intersections of identity and multiple layers and complexity of oppression.
The membership subcommittee of the LGBTQ Consortium is the driving force in recruitment and retention of members and volunteers. If you have an interest in outreach, collaboration, creating new partnerships, and welcoming in new members, this is the subcommittee for you.
If you are interested in becoming involved in a subcommittee, email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information! You can also find details about meetings on Facebook.com/LGBTConsortium or Facebook.com/SafeOut.
